Bredl’s Wild Farm offers a unique, Australian, hands on experience like no other. Guests are given the opportunity to handle some of Australia’s magnificent wildlife such as snakes, lizards, baby crocodiles and much more. Guests will also have the chance to cuddle a beautiful Koala. Experience up close encounters with the large resident Crocodiles from the comfort and safety of the safari truck.

Itinerary

9am Depart from Airlie Beach with a tour guide and informative commentary in an air-conditioned bus

We will travel through the local sugar cane and cattle farming properties in the area and the Proserpine river, known to have the highest number of salt water crocodiles in Queensland before we come across the Proserpine Sugar Mill, classed as the Number 1 sugar mill in the world.  Hear about the sugarcane farming industry, from the early days to where we are now. Among the leaders in the world wide industry

10am Arrive Bredl’s Wild Farm

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Our fully guided and structured tour starts at 10am and concludes at approximately 2pm;
  • Guests will be greeted by the Bredl family and guided throughout the day around various parts of the farm;
  • All guests will have the opportunity to interact with the wildlife, all inclusive;
  • Learn the history of the farm, gain knowledge and share the Bredl’s passion for wildlife;
  • Travel on our Safari Truck down to our crocodile enclosures to view our large resident crocodiles being fed by the Bredl family; and
  • Finish the day alongside our picturesque lake and enjoy a bite to eat (byo).

WHAT TO BRING:

  • As this is a private property, there are no shops/cafès on the farm, therefore you will NEED TO SUPPLY YOUR OWN FOOD AND DRINKS.
  • We suggest bringing a cooler bag/esky for your supplies.  There is plenty of opportunity throughout the day including during our show to enjoy your food/drink.  Toward the end of the day, there is also a designated area with picnic tables for you to sit and enjoy your lunch.
  • Sun smart, comfortable clothing and footwear (open shoes are acceptable).
  • Raincoat (in wet weather). Although majority of the tour is undercover, should we experience wet weather we highly recommend bring a raincoat for getting to and from the undercover areas.
  • Don’t forget your camera !!!

2pm  Depart Bredl’s Wild Farm

3pm Arrive Cedar Creek waterfalls

Cedar Creek Falls. Which flows in the wet season and is a beautiful waterhole in the dry season. Get to know the history surrounding. Learn about the oldest living culture in the world, the Australian Aboriginal. Where did they come from, how and when they got here, what they believed in, their bush tucker and medicine. Why they didn’t change anything in 70 thousand years and how they protected the future.

Enjoy a relaxing dip in the water.

4pm Depart Cedar Creek Waterfalls.

4.30pm Arrive back in Airlie Beach
