We will pick you up at the Whitsunday coast airport and head into Airlie Beach for your check-in. Then enjoy an afternoon stroll along the bicentennial boardwalk  showcasing wonderful ocean views or explore Airlie beach. We will all meet for a welcome BBQ dinner along the boardwalk

Your choice to todays activities to explore the Whitsunday Islands

Option 1:

A cruise to Whitehaven Beach, number 1 beach in the world which boasts brilliant white silica sand that is among the purest in the world.  A bush walk to a viewing platform that overlooks Hill Inlet, the 3rd most photographed place in Australia.  Snorkel the fringe reefs of the Whitsunday Islands, you may be lucky and snorkel with a turtle or see the majestic humpback whale during the migration season.

Option 2:

A cruise through the Whitsunday islands to Hamilton Island, jump on a hop on hop off bus to explore the island, after lunch, you are taken across to the famous Whitehaven Beach #1 beach in the world.

Depart from Airlie Beach with a tour guide and informative commentary in an air-conditioned bus

Visit Cedar Creek Falls, which flows in the wet season and is a beautiful waterhole in the dry season. Enjoy a relaxing dip in the water

Learn about the oldest living culture in the world, the Australian Aboriginal. Where did they come from, how and when they got here, what they believed in, their bush tucker and medicine. Why they didn’t change anything in 70 thousand years and how they protected the future.

Relax with a coffee at the Whitsunday Gold Coffee plantation, one of Australia’s largest coffee plantation’s and locally hidden locations up at Hydeaway bay and Dingo Beach with beautiful beaches and island views.

After lunch we head further north to Townsville for the evening.

Waking in Tropical North Queensland is now feeling like ‘just another day in paradise’

As we depart Townsville on our way to the ferry we will cruise down the Strand, a 2.2km world-class beachfront promenade custom-built for enjoyment. Along this palm tree lined stretch are bike and walkway paths, safe swimming beaches, picturesque picnic spots, playgrounds, exercise stations, a water park and restaurants and bars with to-die-for water views.

Magnetic Island, our tropical island paradise awaits. Boasting a unique natural environment of palm-fringed beaches, large granite boulders, hoop pines, sandy beaches and fringing coral reefs.

We explore this piece of paradise, see the koalas in the wild and spend time relaxing. An easy to get around island with the hop on / hop off buses.

Explore at your own leisure any of the many attractions,

  • During the summer months (December to February) sea turtles nest on the beaches.
  • 24 kilometres (15 miles) of walking tracks.
  • Follow the 1.2-kilometre (0.75-mile) Hawkings Track for views across the island
  • Relax on one of the 23 beaches on Magnetic Island
  • The 1.5-hour Forts Walk includes World War II forts, incredible views and sometimes even a koala or two. Along the way, you may find rock art or shell middens – physical reminders of the Wulgurukaba people, who have lived on the island and mainland for thousands of years.

In the afternoon we trek further north again to Mission beach, nestled between two World Heritage-listed wonders, the Great Barrier Reef and Wet Tropics, Mission Beach is full of unspoilt nature and the birthplace of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority and is the closest access point for the reef, less than 40km offshore. A Scenic coastal drive where we might be lucky to spot a Cassowary on the beach. Enjoy the fresh air and amazing surrounds while we have drinks and nibbles.

Overnight – Mission Beach

From Mission Beach we journey inland through the sugarcane and banana farms. We stop at QLD’s number 1 tourist attraction Paronella Park, a castle build beside Mena Creek Falls where we have a picnic lunch. It has tennis courts, bridges and a tunnel. Rap it up in an amazing range of 7,500 tropical plants, now a lush rainforest.

After lunch we will set off for Cairns, The capital of the north, where we will visit the Cairns Aquarium. The only aquarium in the world dedicated exclusively to the habitats and species of tropical North Queensland, the Cairns Aquarium connects visitors with the natural wonders of The Great Barrier Reef, The Wet Tropics, The Gulf Savannah and Cape York regions. With over 16,000 animals and unique opportunities to move up close to some of the world’s most fascinating, elusive or deadly creatures, every visit is unforgettable.

Today you will get to explore one of natures marvels, the largest living coral reef system in the world composed of over 2,900 individual reefs and 900 islands stretching for over 2,300 kilometres over an area of approximately 344,400 square kilometres.

Travel on the most luxurious Reef Vessel in Australia and discover some of the most spectacular destinations in the outer Great Barrier Reef at 2 exclusive moorings with 5 hours to snorkel and explore the famous national park.

Cruise includes a Aussie buffet lunch, glass of wine and canpaes’.

Overnight in Cairns

Today you explore the mainland tropics with a tour through Mossman Gorge, which is the gateway to the worlds oldest rainforest, the Daintree Rainforest. Take an easy 10 minute stroll along the elevated boardwalk that meanders through the lower rainforest canopy and return along the riverside track, enjoying views from several small lookouts along the way. Be amazed by bright butterflies and look closely for well-camouflaged Boyd’s Forest Dragons clinging to tree trunks.

The afternoon will be spent exploring Port Douglas, a true piece of paradise
